Entry-level position that performs routine technical work requiring the application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks under direct and frequent supervision. Assignments are designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities. No responsibility for direction of others.
Define gaps between existing standards and procedures, current practices and regulatory requirements.
Utilize Continues Improvement (CI) skills to identify gaps, provide operational and procedural Improvements in a regulatory environment.
Write and publish standards and procedures for construction, testing, maintenance and operation of distribution and transmission systems.
Understand and analyze regulatory requirements relating to Natural Gas Distribution and Transmission systems.
Assist with investigation and reporting of gas related events and reportable incidents for submission to State and Federal regulatory agencies.
Prepares Operations for regulatory Inspections and attends them when necessary.
Work Closely with Operations while developing and modifying standards and procedures.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Mechanical or Civil Engineering Preferred.
Natural Gas industry or Federal/State regulatory Gas Safety experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer application applicable to specific work field/discipline.
Experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
Must have a valid driver’s license, provide a suitable automobile for use on Company business, and meet Company driving standards.
Ability to work individually and in a team.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with people at all levels both within and outside the company.
Effective in self-management of time with a demonstrated personal commitment to work.

Ability to accept off hour emergencies of gas related events and incidents.
Potential for overnight travel.
